...all the godly influences in my life. There are so many that I can't name them all, but I have a few special ladies that I would like to point out (and one special man, but other than that, I've narrowed it down to ladies to keep it simple...haha). I also want to thank every single person who has ever prayed for me. There is a song that I love to listen to called "Somebody Prayed for Me." It's about times when we don't even realize we need prayer, we look back and see how those praying for us helped bring us out of a bad spot.
Of course, 2 godly influences in my life are my Mom and my Dad. I appreciate the fact that my parents raised us in church. On Sunday morning, we woke up, ate cereal, and started getting ready for church. We never watched cartoons on Sunday morning because we were supposed to be getting ready for church. There was never any question about it--Sunday mornings, we go to church. I also appreciate the way both my parents taught us the value of hard work. My Dad has always worked hard to provide for his household. My mom has always worked hard to keep a clean and organized home.
There are 2 very special sunday school teachers that have been tremendous influences on my life: my "Aunt" Barbara and Miss Gates. Both of these ladies have taught me many, many things about the Word of God. They've both been great examples of godly women. And, I know for a fact that they both prayed for me at a time when I needed it most.
I'm very thankful to have godly grandmothers who have been good examples as well. I've also had many great pastors over the years who have taught me great bibilical truths and who have been great examples of godly living as well. I'm so thankful for each of them.
