My sister has been listing things she is thankful for each day on her "facebook status." With only one week left until Thanksgiving, I thought it would be a great idea to list things that I am thankful for each day from today until then.
I know I've been listing a lot of "wishes," which is fun to do. I love to go to an online store and fill my cart with anything and everything that I want, just for fun. I'm a crazy shopper, I know!! But, the reality is, we don't always get everything we "want," but we are promised to always have everything we need. So, today, I'm thankful for the Lord's provision and for His faithfulness and for all the blessings He has given me.
As many of you know, I enjoy listening to the "Dave Ramsey Show." Dave's response when people ask him "How are you doing?" is "Better than I deserve." When people ask me that question, I usually say "good" or "fine" or "OK." But, when I think about it, I know that the Lord has blessed me with so much more than I deserve. The promise of heaven alone is soooo much better than I deserve. Yet, the Lord has blessed my life with so many wonderful things in addition to eternal life! I know that I am better than I deserve!
