Easter

We had a great Easter weekend! We enjoyed all the "traditional" Easter festivities...dyeing eggs, going on an Easter egg hunt, and dressing up in "special" Sunday clothes. However, the most important part of Easter is that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Throughout all of our activities, we worked to help Addison understand that Easter wasn't about bunnies and candy and eggs, but rather about Jesus! My prayer is that she will one day accept His most precious gift.

On Friday night, we dyed Easter eggs:

On Saturday, we attended an Easter egg hunt with First Baptist in Farmington. Addison loves playing with Brady and was so excited when he was there! They are the funniest kids though...they can fight like crazy and yet, she still calls him her "best friend."

Saturday evening, we watched the movie "Tangled" while I painted Addison's fingernails and toenails and rolled her hair in curlers. She loved having her hair in curlers and didn't even want me to take them out on Sunday morning...she wanted to wear them to church!

Sunday morning, she woke up to find her special Easter basket. She got magnetic letters for the fridge, washable markers, candy, and a book of the Easter story. It's a really neat book and goes through the story from when the disciples went to get the donkey for Jesus, all the way through the resurrection.

A couple shots before we got in the car for church. I couldn't get her to smile AND look at me at the same time...it was one or the other! :)
