I began a running program, along with my sisters and my brother (in-law), Andy, about 6 weeks ago. We are training to run a half marathon on May 1. I'm excited! Running long distances is challenging, both physically and mentally, but so invigorating...I love it!
We took a whirlwind trip to Missouri to attend the funeral of Grandpa Hungate. I am glad that I got the chance to know him and to call him my grandpa. While we were there, we got to spend time with Cody's family, which was really a blessing to us. With Cody's new job (and no vacation time for a year), we weren't sure if we would get to visit them at all this year.
In January, I started working on a new project for the cardiology department where I've worked as a nurse for the past 2 years. We started the (long) project of opening a clinic for congestive heart failure. After a lot of hard work and learning processes that existed within the hospital that I never knew about, our clinic opened on April 5. Grandpa Hungate lived with congestive heart failure for several years. He passed away the day before we opened the clinic. I'm glad that I was given the opportunity to be a part of this clinic and work to improve the quality of life for our patient's that have CHF. For me, it's a tribute to Grandpa.
Here are a few pictures that I took a couple weeks ago of Addison playing outside..."helping" Daddy. The weather has changed from cold to warm and back to cold again several times. But, I think spring may *finally* be here to stay. I better not say that too loud, though...or the weather might change again!

I took quite a few pictures of Addison on Easter, but don't have any of those uploaded to flickr...so, I will have to post those next time. And, I won't wait a whole month either...at least, I better not!
