Some Exciting News!!!

A few weeks ago, we went to "Town Hall for Hope" with Dave Ramsey (a Christian financial advisor/speaker). It was very encouraging and the Lord used the event to direct in our lives. Cody's job has been very slow because of the effect of the economy on the entire oil and natural gas industry. We'd been praying about what the Lord would have us to do regarding this and Cody had even applied for several jobs out of state. Just prior to leaving for the town hall meeting, Cody got application rejection notices from the final 4 places that he had applied (he had already received 3 others prior to this). So, leaving for the meeting, we felt as though the Lord had closed that door at this time. At the meeting, we were challenged to not have a fearful spirit and to use this time of economic recession as an opportunity to grow. When we got home from the meeting, I had an email with a foreclosure listing link from a realtor that we met when we looked at a few houses last year. Fast Forward to today...we are under contract to buy a house (Closing is set for June 10)! It's a foreclosure, so it will need some work, but we got a great deal on it and are looking forward to fixing it up!!! We are thankful for all of the blessings that the Lord has given to us and for the way that He has always provided for our needs. He is so amazing in the way that He leads and guides us...We have such an AWESOME GOD!!!
